Discounted Insurance for Coaches in Canada using the Communiti platform

This policy will protect the coaches from legal action taken against them as a result of bodily injuries sustained during activities sold and arranged through the Communiti app. The policy, subject to terms, conditions and exclusions, will pay for both the costs associated with defense of the claim as well as damages/settlements.

How much does the insurance policy cost?

It costs $199 CAD + HST to purchase.

Who can purchase this insurance policy?

This policy is currently restricted to certified coaches in the following sports:

Figure Skating, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Hockey, Basketball & Cycling

It will eventually expand to include other sports.

What does this policy cover?

The intent of the policy is to provide coverage for coaches specifically for lessons or sessions sold through the communiti app. Once you have the policy, any lesson or program you sell on the communiti app will be covered as long as you are in good standing with your Sporting Organization/certification body.

$2,000,000 - Bodily Injury

$2,000,000 - Personal and Advertising Injury

$2,000,000 - Products and Completed Operations

The policy will have a $1000 deductible.

How long is the policy valid for?

This is an annual policy starting December 12, 2024 to December 11, 2025. This policy will have to be renewed ever year.

What is the process?

Please fill out the form below and include as much information as you can. Once you submit the form:

1. The insurance provider will be notified and they will verify the data and assess your eligibility

2. If step 1 is successful, you will receive a link to make the payment for $199 + HST

3. Once the payment is made, you will receive a Confirmation of Insurance Certificate.
